FARMYARD FRIENDS, PRE SCHOOL ROOM
At Street Farm Day Nursery we pride ourselves in our balanced curriculum, which aims to help children take an active part in their development.
Learning also takes place outside the Nursery. Children can enjoy a wide variety of activities in our extended outdoor area and also a variety of trips and outings to places of interest in the local area and beyond. An information sheet called ‘What we did in (Month)’ is given to each parent at the end of the month that reflects the activities the children have been involved in.
Your child’s key person or buddy will inform you of your child’s day detailing the activities they have been involved in, what they have eaten, when and if they have slept at the end of you child’s session.
There is also a detailed information board on activities planned and an environment plan which details the activities and resources available throughout the week. Your child’s key person will plan adult focused activities for your child and will explain these to you at the end of the session. We also have a wow board for you to write about those wonderful moments with your child that you would like to share.
At Street Farm Day Nursery we pride ourselves on our close partnership with parents and encourage you to visit at any time.
Outside Farmyard Friends room there is a board detailing the meals available to your child for that day and also the adult focused activity.
Water is available throughout the day at the children’s request with milk at snack time.
PROFESSIONAL SPORTS COACHING
Each week Ian a professional sports coach from the company Pro Coach comes into the nursery and provides activities for the children to participate in.
YOGA FOR SCHOOLS PROGRAMME
We are pleased to announce that a member of our staff Christine Stiff has recently taken part in the training programme Yoga for Schools, this now enables Christine along with the assistance of the staff to hold yoga sessions within our nursery on a weekly basis.
