Street Farm Day Nursery Ltd is a purpose-built nursery, designed specifically with children in mind. We are situated in the village of Elmswell and provide full-day care for children aged 2 months to 8 years on a full or part time basis from the hours of 8.00 am 6.00 pm.

The nursery consists of 3 main rooms, Baby Bunnies catering for children aged 2 months to 18 months, Little Ducklings for 18 months to 3 years and Farmyard Friends room for children aged 3 to 5 years, this room also caters for the children who attend our after school club. The nursery also has a beautiful outdoor area specifically designed to enhance and stimulate children’s learning and development.

All the rooms are dedicated to individual age groups and follow the Early Years Foundation Stage. Every child will gradually progress through each room; the timing of the move will depend on his or her stage of development and individual needs.

To enable us to offer the highest quality care, we recruit highly motivated staff that are committed to providing the best possible care for your child. All our staff are offered ongoing professional training and development to maintain the highest standards.

At Street Farm all children are allocated a Key Person, this is a member of staff who has a special responsibility for your child, giving them the reassurance to feel safe and cared for. They will help your child become familiar with the nursery and will develop a genuine bond with you and your child. The key person will carefully record your child’s progress and development and will share this with you. We encourage parent/carers to work alongside our staff as by doing this it has a positive impact on children’s learning and development. Each Key Person has a staff member who doubles up as their buddy, in you child’s key persons absence their buddy will take over their role by supporting your child.

Our aim is to maintain a close relationship with all parents/carers and operate an open door policy, which enables you to visit at anytime. We like to involve parents/carers in their child’s time at nursery by encouraging visits, where they can join in activities and also discuss their child’s progress and development. We work closely with all parents/carers to ensure their needs are met.

Prior to registering we encourage you to visit Street Farm Day Nursery with your child at anytime. To help your child settle prior to starting nursery, Street Farm are happy to offer home visits by your child’s key person alongside a senior member of staff. If you would like to request a home visit please arrange this with a member of the management team.

We also offer a free 2 hour trial session, during this session you are welcome to stay with your child or leave them with us, if you choose to leave them we will ensure that your child’s key person will be available to spend that time with your child.

Once you have registered your child with Street Farm Day Nursery you will be given a “Welcome Pack” which includes information on our policies and procedures, a copy of the menu, a healthy eating and well being sheet and information on what you will need to provide. Street Farm Day Nursery undertakes to comply with all statutory Health and Safety and Environmental Health requirements and all staff receive a full induction when joining the company. If you would like a copy of our Health and Safety policy or any others prior to registering, please ask a member of staff and this can be arranged.

Along with your welcome pack you will receive a booklet called All about me, we ask you to fill in as much information as possible as this allows your key person to get to know you and your child before starting at nursery, if you would like any assistance filling in the booklet, please speak to a member of management and they will arrange for your key person to go through this with you.
