Hello my name is Lisa and I am the owner of Street Farm Day Nursery, which opened in 2003. I am qualified to level 3 in childcare and in September 2017 gained my Bachelor of Arts with Distinction in Business and Enterprise. I am a qualified Forest School leader and sit on the board of trustees for ‘Elmswild’. With 3 children of my own, I have a very good understanding of how important a happy and content child is to peace of mind for all parent/carers. Therefore, it is my passion to create a nursery that provides outstanding care and education encouraging children to reach their full potential.
Hello my name is Clare and I am the manager of Street Farm Day Nursery. I began working at the nursery in 2003. I am qualified to Level 4 in childcare having gained my Level 5 in Leadership and Management in July 2017.
I am passionate about delivering high quality childcare with a dedicated team of practitioners. We aim to have a dynamic impact on children’s learning by knowing each child individually and planning activities to meet their needs, while supporting them through the Early Years Foundation Stage.
Hello my name is Shelley and I am the nursery Deputy Manager. I studied childcare at college and qualified with a level 3 Diploma. I completed my work placement at Street Farm and secured a job here when I qualified in 2005. I have since completed a qualification in Special educational needs and I am one of the nursery’s SENCos. I find my job extremely rewarding and enjoy watching the children play laugh and learn in a warm and loving environment. In 2016 I became a mummy for the first time, and love spending time with my family.
Hello my name is Beverley and I joined the nursery when it opened in 2003, I am currently the Leaders in Little Ducklings our toddler room. I am Qualified to Level 3 in Childcare and Education and also qualified in Special Educational Needs acting as one of the nursery’s SENCos. I love to help children develop their skills, watch them grow and achieve their goals, big and small. Street Farm is always a fun and happy place to be.
Hello, I’m Chloe the Baby Room Leader, I started at the nursery in 2015 and am qualified to Level 3 in Childcare and Education. I enjoy being part of a fantastic team and watching the children grow and develop. Having the opportunity to get to know the babies and their families is a great privilege. I became a mummy in June 2018 and absolutely love it.
Hello, I am Jess and I am the Assistant Deputy Manager and also the Senior Practitioners in the pre-school room. I have gained my level 3 as an Early Years Educator, my Level 2 in Forest School and more recently gained my Level 5 in Leadership and Management. I absolutely love my job and enjoy nothing more than helping children learn and development. I enjoy working with my team to provide the children with new and exciting opportunities, making Street Farm a truly fun place to be.
Hello I am Gemma, I am the Senior Practitioner within the baby room. My career began in 1993 when I worked as a parent helper at my son’s playgroup, I later went to college and gained my Diploma in Pre-school Practice. I worked as a Manager of a pre-school in Essex before moving to Suffolk. In 2009 I joined the baby room team at Street Farm and gained my Level 3 in Working with Babies.
Hi I’m Sam, I am the Senior practitioner in Little Ducklings. I have a level 3 qualification in childcare and education and I am a qualified Senco, which I take a great deal of price in. I love working with my in Little Ducklings and thrive on seeing the children learn and develop. At home I am a proud Mum of two boys. I do all I can to provide outstanding care.
Checks made on staff
The nursery has a robust policy and procedure for the recruitment of staff. Prior to employment two references are requested and confirmed by the manager. We ensure that all staff have an enhanced DBS check which is applied for by the nursery. Any gaps in past employment must be investigated. As an added measure of security, staff are never left alone with children and mobile phones and camera phones are not permitted in the children’s rooms.
